Stage 04 of 5 · about 3 minutes in the studio

Qualify and enrich

Clear criteria to keep or drop a company, a dossier to fill before you write, and the wedge that earns the meeting.

Why qualification is a separate stage

The data trail will surface more companies than you should contact. Qualification is the filter between a name on a list and a message in someone's inbox. Done well, it keeps your reply rate high and your reputation intact. Done badly, or not at all, it turns a good plan into spam.

What the studio does in this stage

  1. 01Writes qualification criteria as yes or no questions that can be answered from public data, such as ships chilled or frozen goods, has more than one retail customer, filed accounts in the last twelve months.
  2. 02Designs a prospect dossier: the fields to fill before you write to anyone, such as the decision maker's name, the current supplier if visible, the timing signal that surfaced them and one specific fact about the business.
  3. 03Finds your wedge: the one insight, question or observation that makes a stranger want a conversation. It is drawn from your profile's pains and the signals you chose, not from a template.

The dossier in practice

Enrichment without the creep factor

Enrichment means adding the dossier fields from public sources and, where you use them, contact databases. The studio's approach is to stay on business facts: filings, hires, technology, announcements. It does not ask you to gather personal information beyond a work role and a work email, and the privacy page explains how the studio treats your own data with the same care.
